Reverend Habu Dawaki, who is best known as the motivational columnist in the Weekly Trust , has published three books containing chapters drawn from his column and a weekly talk he has been giving on the FRCN Kaduna 96.1 FM radio. The books are, There Is A Place Called Tomorrow , Shake hands With Destiny , and The Final Whistle Has Not Blown . The books were launched on September, 16, 2006. The multi-talented Kaduna based author is also a teacher, business man, and man of God. On the occasion of this anniversary, I wish to use this medium to highlight the comatose nature of Hausa written literature since that time and have a look at the inheritors of Imam and his age that permeates the Northern literary landscape.
